Yes, it's really been a while since I have blogged, but I have decided to adopt the theme of blogging without obligation. LOL If I have the time to blog, I will and if I don't, I won't.
Here is is almost the end of the year. I really didn't have very many finishes this year, but I do work on lots of big projects, so what can I say? I think stitching should be enjoyed and not about how many projects you finish in a year.
My DD will be home for Christmas this year. She hasn't been home since March, so it will be nice to see her again. My son's family will be here this year, so it's always fun with the little ones at Christmas time.
So if I don't post again before the new year, I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope you have a wonderful holiday with family and friends. I know that I will.
Cross stitch is my passion. I also like to read and spend time with my 3 adorable grandchildren.

It's Friday
It's been a while since I have posted, so I guess I will catch you up on a few things.
DH's nephew has filed for a divorce. He is stationed in HI and would have been married for 2 yrs in July. So sad that it didn't last longer, but hopefully he will find happiness in the future.
DH is taking a new position. It's classified as a special project, but he won't be working at his store for several months. It's Monday- Friday, so he will now have weekends off and no nights, but of course I won't. LOL
DD's future FIL had a heart attack while visiting her and her Fiance in AZ, 3 weeks after having had bypass surgery. He was cleared to fly and they thought everything was all right, but apparently it wasn't. He has now returned home & is doing better.
My three grand kids are all adorable. Nicholas will be finishing kindergarten next month. Hopefully Emily will be potty trained soon and Ashley is learning to walk. All are well.
Stitching wise, I have been rotating a few projects each week. On Mondays, I work on a new project for the week. The ones I have been working on are: Quaker Mystery Sampler, Needleprints-Sarah Moon and Quaker Christmas.

Leap Day
I just realized that this month is gone and I haven't been good at keeping up with my blog once again.
I need to take some updated photos of my WIP to post also.
I am trying to keep up with things here at home to get ready to go on vacation. Yes, only 8 more days until DH and I leave for warmer weather in AZ. We will be visiting our DD and her finace there for the first time since they moved there last April. They have a brand new house and new furniture and I am anxious to see it all.
I will also be visiting The Attic needlework store while I am in AZ. Just a litle plus of where my DD lives. I can't wait to see all the wonderful samplers that are in their shop and of course I will accumulate some stash while I am there also.
This past month we visited some friends in OK and I got to make a trip to The Silver Needle while I was there and it was right after the Nashville Market, so it was a great time to see all of the new!
My grandson and I both had birthdays this month. He is our first and oldest at the age of six! He had a party with friends, family and some school pals also attended. I think he had a great time.

Newest BAP
I can't believe it's the middle of January already and I haven't posted to my blog since the beginning of the month. I guess I am not very good at this blogging thing.
I have started another BAP. Now I have three of them that I am trying to concentrate on at the same time. The new one is 2008 Quaker Mystery Sampler. It is a Yahoo group and every week you get a new page released to stitch. I didn't get my fabric and floss right away, so there are now four pages out and I just started working on page 3 today. I am stitching it on 32ct Queenanne lace Jobelan fabric over 2 with 1 stand of Needle Necessities floss 115-Midnight for the main color and 153-Razzle Dazzle Red for the letters. Above is a progress picture of the the first two pages.

Happy New Year
Would like to wish each and everyone of you a great 2008!
I was considering a New Year's start, but still haven't. I did pull out my 01/01/07 start from last year and have put in one strand of floss on it so far. Here is what it looked like before I stitched on it today. I started stitching inside the light blue shape part.
Hope that everyone is having a great start to their New Year!
