Hope that the new year brings you happiness, peace and blessings!
They say whatever you do on the first day of the year will reflect on what you do for the whole year, well mine was spent watching football, stitching, doing laundry and putting away the Christmas decorations.

Today being the start of a new year I started a new cross stitch piece! I am stitching on Blackbird's Christmas Garden. I am doing it on 34ct Oaten Scone Legacy linen with 1 strand of floss. I think the colors used and the one strand make it look antique and I like the look of it so far. It is on my 2012 Challenge list so I hope to have it be one of my completions this year.

Hope you started your New Year doing something you enjoy!Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-41092592860570679832011-12-15T10:38:00.000-08:002011-12-15T10:54:15.760-08:00This and That<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 232px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0g0YpDF0G1EU160Wa_wFU4J4oe-gheDJsujPTDziyiqVcLuT1gRHQ36eL-hYRbufZPE2wWq5S3vJXXmyYzjdI8-KI1qqBlh4DTxkOqEp3aNTJcxxpWvru_ye56aR9PrGOZV3W_N8oD3Y/s320/Workbasket+Faith%252C+Hope+and+Love+12-15-11.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5686429561018782962" />
Well as you can see from my last post, it has been a long time since I have blogged!
I will try to do better next year, but life just gets in the way.

I have signed up to do a 2012 challenge. It is 2012 WIPocalypse. Since I have finished 10 or 11 projects this year I should be able to do 12 next year. You can switch up your list through out the year, so I won't be expected to only work on the list that I come up with in the beginning. I think this is doable.

Right now I am working on a Workbasket design called Faith, Hope and Love. I am doing it on 40ct lakeside linen. First time working on 40ct and I am really happy with it so far. I have posted a picture even though it's not a very good one.

Hope everyone has a great holiday season. Most county and city offices were closed, schools were cancelled, hockey game was cancelled (first time this ever happened), national guard was called out, grocery stores closed early (first time for this too)and highways were shut down. Where I live only got 4 inches of sleet and snow. Farther west they did get a lot more snow, but I guess you can say we were lucky. I of course was hoping for a snow day so I could stay home another day and stitch! LOL But that didn't happen. I had to go to work today.

Now the temps are dropping and it's supposed to be in the negative numbers tomorrow for the first time since 1999.

I have been noticing my car has been slower and slower to start lately so today when I came out from work it didn't turn over the first time. Yikes! I want to go home. It did start the next time, but I was worried. I came home and parked in front of the house so I could shovel some snow at the end of the driveway where they had plowed and piled it up. I knew my car wasn't going to make it over it since I almost got stuck when I left for work this morning. Well I start shoveling and all of a sudden someone honks and a truck with a plow on the front that was at the neighbors comes over and plows my driveway. I was thankful for the help! Then my car almost didn't start for me to pull it into the garage. Looks like DH will have to go out in the morning and get me a new battery for the car. I have gotten my money's worth out of this one since I haven't replaced it since I have owned the car and I bought it new in 2003.

Hope everyone is snug and warm!Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-7945172618615166792011-01-30T15:22:00.000-08:002011-01-30T15:40:13.059-08:00Winter Storm<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 232px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNbDW3fmdU98vQUW9I1s_unpu1CbNrvNJ530p5XYGYbwKH9ilpeelOTR9L9L6adyD_nB6Rs73wm2lGWEMv8MYVFmbbsmW2OYmGlAlBOeMMMleM729dbKtZFBhAH6UjwdcgUmj9QtcnZEo/s320/LHN+Winter+Sampler+finished+01-03-11.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568127363344369922" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 232px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOZMU7lMiOn0MQMqFh47DW6_8cV9Ha7B43YTvYf1YWA1QSspYUveD3WQ9Fjm5fnkleQyVFkHb0yb5kP5QdRKw62zGmLkCxBqj4Sq6I0jffRqiOtiLiZqFR3c_RO3PpZ50uRPvtrmV-rmo/s320/Ink+Circles-Winter+Mandala+progress+as+of+01-30-11.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568126925390714898" />
We are expecting a winter storm starting overnight tonight through Wednesday. If only I didn't live within 2 miles of where I work. I will be expected to be there for sure. I am hoping that everyone has hit the store today and stocked up so that those who can't make it can stay home and be safe. At least I am off on Tuesday and hope to miss some of it.

I have been stitching on Ink Circles Winter Mandala most of the month and have made great progress on it, but I am ready to be done with it and move on to the next project. I will include a picture of it, but it's really wrinkled from stitching.

I also have a scan of my first finish of the year. Again it's not that good a picture, but you get the idea.

Hope all of you out there in blog land stay safe and I hope that I get to watch the storm from inside and spend time stitching and reading.Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-8444076927194298902011-01-03T18:25:00.000-08:002011-01-03T18:29:27.929-08:00First Finish of the New YearI did manage to finish up LHN Winter Sampler this evening. Now it's on to see what I will work on next.
When I tried to upload a picture of my finish I couldn't get it to work, so I will have to try and post a picture of it at another time.
It's really fun seeing what all everyone is trying to accomplish this year with their 2011 stitching goals. I will be glad to just finish up a few of my UFO's and have some finishes this year.Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-19680726541558646732011-01-01T17:31:00.001-08:002011-01-01T17:38:32.218-08:00Happy New YearI really don't know why I have a blog since I never seem to post on it and when I do I get rude people who make rude comments on in. I don't pretend to be a writer, I just share my thoughts for those who want to read and if you aren't interested then don't read it!

Some of us in my LK Loopers group has decided to start off 2011 with a challenge. We have made a list of 15 UFO's that we are going to try to finish up this year. I know I probably won't stick to it once new things come along that I will want to stitch, but if I even get 5 of them done I will feel like I have accomplished something.

I started off with stitching on LHN Winter Sampler and at the rate I am going I should have it finished in the first week! Then it will be on to the next one. I also added to the list a project that I want to start as soon as my supplies arrive. Even though it's not a UFO, I want to spend time on it this year.

Hope all you out there in blog land have a healthy and happy 2011.Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-36846095404090860722010-09-05T14:44:00.000-07:002010-09-05T14:51:55.009-07:00September Already?<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 232px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi4xN6C3dD8P1pSE2mUCwVwQrP8U_jVeKCfJLxP1l7cU4HM4RJ8pdvQRyOBdJUKDSfr1pLU9rPsxnn2Wle8w59q-PfnWBxa1SuRwgnaVekhODQJolqVcVRyHLHwX1b_U9k7FgzL_O1UyQ/s320/CCN+Joyful+Summer.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513550227051032210" />
Wow I can't believe that summer is over and here we are at Labor Day weekend. The summer flew by and it sure was a hot one! Now the cooler temps have rolled in and it's time to think about back to school, fall festivils and fall stitching. I have done just that. I have started a new project called Quaker Halloween Sampler by Cherished Stitches. I am using the colors called for, but I have also added a couple of my own, a yellow and a orange.

I also had another finish in the month of August. It was Joyful Summer by Country Cottage Needleworks. I love the bright colors of it and it does indeed make you feel joyful!Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com76tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-49664560700517950952010-08-10T12:53:00.000-07:002010-08-10T13:00:10.935-07:00Another post so soon!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 232px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoNRTmbnVgZYiPyamb-WDNPJT_4aV7x9inuuLkP_nsYaFB8Hjn-gc0MNdNh8m9VEY5lfbi4MXM3_KWGkoCZCxrAWoSnosVIEkEHyVp1S1RCn0HiwQl6twhBOZNbHVVE5TYv_4EKPCb1bI/s320/Blackbird+Bird+in+Hand.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5503872173393115330" />
I have another finish! This afternoon I finished stitching Blackbird's Bird In Hand.

Today is my daughter's 35th birthday! Happy Birthday Jennifer! She lives in Arizona, so don't know when we will be together again, but wanted to wish her a HB today!

Since my grandkids start school next week and we haven't seen or spent a lot of time with them this summer we are going to pick them up on Sunday and have them for a few days next week while we are on vacation. They start school on Wednesday, so I guess we will take them home on Tues. which will be my husband's birthday! I just don't seem to have the time to blog like a lot of others do.
Since I have last blogged we have been on 3 vacations. In March we went to Arizona and visited with our DD and her finace. While there I got to visit The Attic cross stitch shop that is near her. In April I went to a stitching retreat in Branson. It is always the best time! In July DH and I vacationed in Branson again where it was very, very hot! We saw Noah the Musical and I of course visited Cecilia's Samplers while I was there.
Next week we are on vacation again, but as of now we have no plans.
My picture is Country Cottage Needleworks Liberty Lane. I took it with me in April and worked on it at the retreat. I think it is that latest finish for me even though I didn't finish it for several months after that.
My grandchildren are preparing to start school again. This summer sure did fly by. Nicholas is 8 and will be starting 3rd grade, Emily is 5 and is going to Kindergarten and Ashley who is 3 will be going to preschool.
Maybe it won't be so long in between my next post!Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-66716116192041295022010-02-16T11:23:00.001-08:002010-02-16T11:24:50.510-08:00Picture<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 238px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjP3iFB3QlhH29t6n5-Alhmh2UQxP-0tpVKY__zYtZ4dIJ5BqXZB6Du3RBypJ25DtuQFJrLDxxLzaSM89coilthsoMfot7RbpWRQxXzacYVFrCWr21KMPd22h_oCs_9exwl6RSHnky0sVI/s320/Small+Token-Blackbird.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438924271461761954" />

Here is my first finish of the New Year. Hope you got lots of chocolates, flowers and a nice dinner out!

My DH had to work that evening, so we haven't celebrated Valentine's Day, or my birthday which was last week also. I did receive a nice strawberry cream cake on my birthday and a dozen roses on Valentine's Day, so I was forgotten.

I did have a finish last night while watching the Olympics. I finshed up Blackbird's Small Token. It took me about a week to stitch it after having to frog the same area a couple of times. I finally left that part until last and it finally worked out. I need to take a picture so I can post it.

We still have snow on the ground and are expected to get more on Friday. I can't wait until the end of the month so I can visit DD where it is much warmer and no snow! I shouldn't complaint because I know others have a lot more snow than we do, but enough already!

My oldest grandchild, Nicholas will be 8 on Sunday. I can't beleive he is over 5! Time sure does go by fast once you get older. LOL We will be going to visit to celebrate his birthday.

Hope that all are well and warm whereever you are.Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-14755581026538961522010-01-31T15:53:00.000-08:002010-01-31T16:06:35.816-08:00Sunday<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 233px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjW-eB_0-lW_NJtPxVJBkxJPp6i3CUkMnFzJ_kAX6pMDJQcZNOSs38N4sRHPPMfM-h54DqFmioobdIvmVEleP0Iw1itdbSIpQG_yk8azvNsYGgUCP7sWgCZ_pef-LSlXTitbZxCiMvLssk/s320/This+Is+The+Day.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433058633079535874" />
Sunday, a day off and a day to catch up on the home front chores. I also usually find some time to stitch. :)))) Today I stitched on This Is The Day by Hands To Work which is in an issue of Just Cross Stich magazine. I scanned a picture of it a few days ago and shall include it. Today I finished up the end of the house and started on the main body of it.

Today I uploaded 5 new albums to the IPod. Need to get it ready to go for vacation. I also purchased some books for the Kindle, so I will have something to read on vacation. I am trying to plan ahead, so that I will be ready and not do everything at the last minute. I looked through some stitching WIP today, trying to decide what I should take, so if I have some down time on vacation I will have something with me to stitch on. I do remember I didn't get much stitching time in the last time we visited, but I still want to have at least one project with me, just in case. Have to be prepared!

Hope everyone had a great day today!Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-15403783478260852322010-01-26T13:09:00.000-08:002010-01-26T13:23:22.920-08:00It's TuesdayToday we have had some weird weather. I woke up to some snow flurries and a little snow on the ground. Now the sun is shining! Something we haven't seen in a while around these parts.

I am looking forward to visiting my daughter in AZ where I know the weather is better. We are planning a trip, leaving the last of Feb and staying a week, which will put us back in MO the first weekend in March. I plan on visiting The Attic a cross stitch store in Mesa while I am there and I bet they will have all kinds of goodies fresh from Market. I better save my pennies to spend! It will be my first vacation of 2010. I get 5 weeks this year and hope to enjoy everyone of them. In April I will be returning to Branson for the Spring retreat at Cecilias' stitching shop. We have a nice group from the St. Louis area that will be going, so I know it will be a great time!

I have been trying to not start any new stitching projects until I finish up some of the many that I have started. I have worked all month on Rachael Holmes 1842 until a few days ago. I pulled out This Is The Day which is a sampler from a JCS magazine. It's a nice change from the Rachael piece. The colors are brighter and no specialty stitches except for the over one part. Hopefully I can stick to my plans on finishing some works in progress before I get the bug to start something new.Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-71848326261894684672010-01-06T18:25:00.000-08:002010-01-06T18:29:44.021-08:00SnowToday they are calling for 3-6 inches of snow, so of course that means that everyone has to run to the grocery store and stock up! Which means we were really busy at work today. We called in anybody that we could get to come in and that still wasn't enough people.

The roads are covered and I have heard the snow plows on Hwy K behind my house. Looks like the weather guys were right this time! LOL

Too bad I have to go to work again tomorrow. I would love to be able to just stay indoors and enjoy a snow day, but hopefully the roads will be cleared by the time I go to work in the afternoon.

Stay snug and warm because winter is here!Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-62384667493492940082010-01-02T17:43:00.000-08:002010-01-02T17:53:46.583-08:00SaturdayHad to work today and it was a slow and long day. Made a couple of stops on my way home after work. I went to Michaels to look for some yarn to knit a scarf, but they didn't have the color I was looking for. It was really picked over. I guess since it has been so cold that everyone is in the mood to do some knitting and crocheting.

The funniness thing happened after I got home. I have remote start on my car and I was walking out to the mailbox to check the mail and all of a sudden my car starts. I thought I had accidently hit the button and turned it on. So I get in and turn it off and close the garage door and go in the house. It did it again. I had the keys laying flat on the table, nothing was touching them or near them. LOL I go out again and turn off the car. When it happened a third time, I was really getting aggravated thinking I am not going to go out into the cold garage and keep turning off my car all night long, so I went to the neighbors and he took the battery out of the remote and that fixed that! Need to find out what the problem is and why this keeps happening on it's own.

It has really turned cold here and so I don't think I am going to go out tomorrow at all. I will stay in and keep warm and toasty. Will spend some time stitching, reading, etc. Nice time of the year to do some indoor crafts, read and catch up on TV or some movies.

Have a great weekend!Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-55932471557648558442010-01-01T13:38:00.000-08:002010-01-01T13:47:23.907-08:00New Year's DayI can't beleive that it has been almost a whole year since I have posted to my blog.
Sorry I have been such a slacker. LOL
I would like to wish everyone a healthy, happy New Year! Hope that 2010 is everything that you want it to be. Hopefully it will be a fresh start for us all.

For Christmas I got a Kindle-ereader. It will be so nice when going on a trip or vacation to take one small device instead of several books to read. So far I have read one book and I am now reading my second book. I have been spending a lot of time on Amazon.com looking for what books are available to download. DH also gifted me with a gift card, so now I just have to decide on what books to buy.

Christmas was kind of quiet at our house this year. It was DD's year to have Christmas with her finace's family and my DS's family went to VA to visit his wife's family. We enjoyed a great time with my side of the family at my Mom and Dad's on Christmas Day and then celebrated with the kids on Monday, Dec. 28th when they returned.

Hope that all of you had a great Christmas with family and friends.Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-45994504442960513192009-02-23T18:32:00.001-08:002009-02-23T18:41:42.126-08:00StashingToday I finally made it down to the LNS to pick up some stuff from Market. I got quite a few nice things. I got the new Crescent Colours, the new WDW floss, Blue Ribbons Hugs & Kisses, Love by Waxing Moon, A & E and Cape Cod Girls by The Primitive Needle and by Shakespeare Peddler, A Weary World Rejoices. I also got the fabric and floss kit for this. Almost forgot about the Blackbird Small Token. At least I am doing my part to stimulate the economy. LOL

I did manage to finish Simply Live by The Primitive Needle. Still need to take a picture of it to post. My camera needs to be charged(as I found out at grandson's birthday party yesterday) Ugh! I love the way it turned out!

We celebrated Nicholas's 7th birthday at The Ultimate Pizza place yesterday. I swear you can go broke there. It's similar to Dave and Buster's except that the food is buffet style all you can eat and then they have all the games. It's more for kids than Dave & Busters is.Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-38811703789114394342009-01-30T20:09:00.000-08:002009-01-30T20:16:25.999-08:00The weekendI didn't get very far on my latest stitching project and I have already started another one. LOL I am stitching Simply Live by The Primitive Needle and am really enjoying it. I am using the fabric and floss that it calls for except insead of 40 ct fabric I am using 32 ct.
We really had a winter storm this week and got 7 inches of snow. Of course I had to go to work on the days that this was all happening. Hate going out in it. Would have rather been able to sit at home and stitch and just watch the snow fall.
Will be going to see the grandkids this weekend. Haven't seen them in a few weeks, so it's time for a visit. Nicholas hasn't had school all week because of the weather. He will probably be ready to go back on Monday.
Sunday I plan on watching the Super Bowl and cheering for the Cardinals. Hope that Kurt Warner gets to win another Super Bowl.
Hope everyone is safe in warm this weekend and gets to spend some time doing what you like.Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-55121717652908188972009-01-18T16:34:00.000-08:002009-01-18T16:41:35.806-08:00Updated my pageI am trying a new look. If I can remember I will try to update my look for each holiday/season. I love the way so many blogs have such great backgrounds and looks, but never knew how to do them myself until I noticed that a couple of friends had lizzie grace backgrounds on thier blogs. So I guess you can say that I copied off of them, but I don't think they will mind since I didn't use the same backgrounds as them. LOL
I have been stitching on This Is The Day a sampler that is in the Just Cross Stitch magaine this month. Hopefully I can get a picture of it soon to post here. The Lizzie Kate email loop that I am in are doing a stitchalong on the Blue Ribbon Peppermint Twist piece and after much urging from all of them, I have decided to do it also. Still have to get my supplies, so not sure when I will actually get started on it.
The AZ Cardinals are going to the Super Bowl. Kurt Warner was the quarterback when the STL Rams went to the Super Bowl, so he is still a favorite here and since DD lives in AZ, that's who we will be cheering on next week.Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-26371713029304027882008-12-03T21:10:00.000-08:002008-12-03T21:19:52.039-08:00Just dropping inYes, it's really been a while since I have blogged, but I have decided to adopt the theme of blogging without obligation. LOL If I have the time to blog, I will and if I don't, I won't.

Here is is almost the end of the year. I really didn't have very many finishes this year, but I do work on lots of big projects, so what can I say? I think stitching should be enjoyed and not about how many projects you finish in a year.

My DD will be home for Christmas this year. She hasn't been home since March, so it will be nice to see her again. My son's family will be here this year, so it's always fun with the little ones at Christmas time.

So if I don't post again before the new year, I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope you have a wonderful holiday with family and friends. I know that I will.Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-35169643912548128502008-05-09T20:41:00.000-07:002008-05-09T20:52:27.176-07:00It's FridayIt's been a while since I have posted, so I guess I will catch you up on a few things.
DH's nephew has filed for a divorce. He is stationed in HI and would have been married for 2 yrs in July. So sad that it didn't last longer, but hopefully he will find happiness in the future.
DH is taking a new position. It's classified as a special project, but he won't be working at his store for several months. It's Monday- Friday, so he will now have weekends off and no nights, but of course I won't. LOL
DD's future FIL had a heart attack while visiting her and her Fiance in AZ, 3 weeks after having had bypass surgery. He was cleared to fly and they thought everything was all right, but apparently it wasn't. He has now returned home & is doing better.
My three grand kids are all adorable. Nicholas will be finishing kindergarten next month. Hopefully Emily will be potty trained soon and Ashley is learning to walk. All are well.
Stitching wise, I have been rotating a few projects each week. On Mondays, I work on a new project for the week. The ones I have been working on are: Quaker Mystery Sampler, Needleprints-Sarah Moon and Quaker Christmas.Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-54500241042617415962008-02-29T21:01:00.000-08:002008-02-29T21:10:57.282-08:00Leap DayI just realized that this month is gone and I haven't been good at keeping up with my blog once again.
I need to take some updated photos of my WIP to post also.

I am trying to keep up with things here at home to get ready to go on vacation. Yes, only 8 more days until DH and I leave for warmer weather in AZ. We will be visiting our DD and her finace there for the first time since they moved there last April. They have a brand new house and new furniture and I am anxious to see it all.

I will also be visiting The Attic needlework store while I am in AZ. Just a litle plus of where my DD lives. I can't wait to see all the wonderful samplers that are in their shop and of course I will accumulate some stash while I am there also.

This past month we visited some friends in OK and I got to make a trip to The Silver Needle while I was there and it was right after the Nashville Market, so it was a great time to see all of the new!

My grandson and I both had birthdays this month. He is our first and oldest at the age of six! He had a party with friends, family and some school pals also attended. I think he had a great time.Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-32487697479577564362008-01-22T12:30:00.000-08:002008-01-22T12:44:11.352-08:00Newest BAP<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiP0abgeyxn2Ur6-LbmlLDeT-jUhMCxxihmTtfAURlbUqd0V76XpbMAyZT094DwVucSFiXR9UUVAz0CGwV7mwSFMPmz6Oz65NuUyepr-rFxRTVoQNqyV_GJfjqzE01GjllN29V2LMHuuhI/s200/Mystery+Quaker+Sampler+01-22-08.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5158404114844130370" />
I can't believe it's the middle of January already and I haven't posted to my blog since the beginning of the month. I guess I am not very good at this blogging thing.

I have started another BAP. Now I have three of them that I am trying to concentrate on at the same time. The new one is 2008 Quaker Mystery Sampler. It is a Yahoo group and every week you get a new page released to stitch. I didn't get my fabric and floss right away, so there are now four pages out and I just started working on page 3 today. I am stitching it on 32ct Queenanne lace Jobelan fabric over 2 with 1 stand of Needle Necessities floss 115-Midnight for the main color and 153-Razzle Dazzle Red for the letters. Above is a progress picture of the the first two pages.Kathyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15719034193755700799noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-929449896011466361.post-30103935418040584102008-01-01T14:12:00.001-08:002008-01-01T14:23:43.018-08:00Happy New Year<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhM91LJuxIyhmeiuiDv4aBn_MIvw7QJ6UV2SWcA2SUc9cjQb7e5Q2K64zKbWv2dSMhLrV7Fm2SOTKwm2JNpAHzYSW8z-USbHC8r1FLp5jp1iaqkorishi-rBKtUv-hgWiFZome4zYJkFU0/s200/MiceNewYear-LMG3.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5150634944207428626" />

Would like to wish each and everyone of you a great 2008!

I was considering a New Year's start, but still haven't. I did pull out my 01/01/07 start from last year and have put in one strand of floss on it so far. Here is what it looked like before I stitched on it today.
